Instructional Model
Preparation & Progressive Learning
Tim Mahoney Golf offers comprehensive instruction ranging from full-swing to putting and short game to on-course management. Students receive detailed analysis and a personalized improvement program built around four foundational keys.
Athletic Setup
The majority of swing faults trace back to a poor setup. An athletic setup consists of the grip, posture, ball position, aim, and tension levels.
Impact Position
The one constant with all great players is the position they achieve at impact. This position is influenced by the downswing and is key to solid contact.
On-Plane Swing
During the swing, the golf shaft should point at or parallel to the target line at all times, producing consistently solid contact.
Physical Conditioning
An imbalance in flexibility, muscle control, or strength will influence the body's ability to consistently move the club at the appropriate speed.
The golf swing is a journey, not a destination. My goal is to help every student find their own path to consistency, confidence, and enjoyment on the course.
